Trevoh Chalobah followed his sibling Nathaniel in representing England, becoming the 21st pair of brothers to earn caps for the England side.
The Chelsea defender is likely to join up with the England squad to fill in for unavailable Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old is scheduled to meet up with the squad for England's remaining World Cup qualifying matches against Serbia and Albania, although it has yet to be made public.
The national side have already qualified for next summer's World Cup.
Chalobah received his first invitation under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in May and then made his debut against the Senegalese team.
In September, Tuchel stated Chalobah was unfortunate to be excluded from the team for qualifying games against Andorra and Serbia, and also didn't call him up for the subsequent October matches.
Tuchel has been an important presence in Chalobah's career, having given him his Chelsea first appearance in 2021.
Chalobah has played in all but four fixtures for Chelsea this season, with the team third in the English top flight, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the Champions League.
Guehi suffered a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Conference League success over the Dutch side recently.
There are likely to be additional additions to the selection. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has announced that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) will be unavailable from the national team.
